Sex, drugs and who shot rock & roll

The streets of downtown Auckland are decorated with black and white prints, posters and flags of Amy Winehouse, Mick Jagger and Tina Turner. How can you not love this city? The cherry on this rockstars pie is the actual exhibition WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL in the Auckland Art Gallery. Rock music photography equals me drooling happiness all over New Zealand. Elvis was there. Bob Dylan, Grace Jones, Ian Curtis, Jimmy Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and all of their friends were there. As soon as I saw Patti Smiths photos hanging on the wall, I knew this was exactly where I had to be. She has been a queen ever since I heard her pee and sing at the same time on the toilet next to me, but she became a true rock goddess when I started reading her book 'Just kids'. It took me 4 months to finish it, because I never wanted it to stop. READ IT OR DIE darlings! I can go on for hours about how much I adore her for turning poetry into rock and roll and for peeing and singing at he same time, and I will if you ask me for it, but for now I only have pictures for you. From the Art Gallery we followed the Lovers Walk to the Auckland War Memorial Museum where we decided to pose and roll down the hill.
